United Nations_ Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), expressed his concern about reports that the Israeli government authorized the declaration of new Palestinian territories in the West Bank as state land, a term used for their usurpations, Prensa Latina published.

"Settlement activities constitute a violation of international law and contradict the discourse of Tel Aviv to support the two-state solution", said the diplomat in a statement.

Ban reacted to the recent decision by Israeli authorities to confiscate 370 acres, representing 1.5 square kilometers south of Jericho, in the West Bank, territory occupied since 1967.

"If implemented, it would be the biggest land grab by Israel in the West Bank in the past 17 months, he said.

The Secretary General called for actions that lead to improve the lives of Palestinians affected by the colonization through Jewish settlements.
