Athens_ Heads of State and Government of countries from the South of Europe gathered in a summit meeting in Athens, reaffirmed the necessity to strengthen the unity, to face the serious problems that affect the Old Continent, Radio Reloj digital site publishes.
The Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, indicated that the event has the purpose to reinforce the cooperation and coordination among the Mediterranean countries of Europe and to elaborate common proposals.
The appointment in the Greek capital, takes place few days before the informal summit of the European Union, foreseen for next September 16 in Slovakia, where without the British presence, the representatives of the remaining 27 countries members will debate the future of the regional community.
"The objective of that conclave is to propitiate a common approach in favor of the nations of the periphery and of the Mediterranean area", Tsipras highlighted.
