United Nations_ The high commissioner of the United Nations Organization for the Human rights, Zeid Ra’’ad al Hussein, claimed a worthy treatment for the millions of refugees and migrants that escape from the violence and the poverty, the digital place of Radio Havana Cuba published.

"It is shameful that the victims of abominable crimes have to suffer more for our incapacity of protecting them; that men, women and desperate children are being treated as criminals and stopped per months and even years, with a damage to their physical and mental health', the representative noticed.

In his intervention during the opening segment of the First High Level Meeting to Approach the Great Scale Movement of Refugees and Migrants, Zeid affirmed that the call to the one day summit is the answer to the failure in the treatment to the topic.

"We have failed when solving the war in Syria and other conflicts, and recognizing that it is about human beings that deserve much more than the route to the tomb, the indignity and the desperation", he specified.

The High Commissioner criticized the treatment frequently given to the situation of millions of people that put at risk their life looking for a future far from the violence and the poverty, who suffer racist and discriminatory practices.
