Atlanta_ At least four people are dead in the U.S. state of Florida after Hurricane Matthew has battered the U.S. state's east coast, Radio Havana Cuba reports, mentioning CNN.

The fatal victims are a man and a woman affected by lack of medicines and that were not attended on time, besides other two women impacted by fallen trees.

The hurricane lost force and it was lowered to category 2, which implies winds of not more than 175 kilometers per hour, according to the National Center of Hurricanes of United States, in Miami.

Also, a man and a woman of the third age are hospitalized, seemingly intoxicated by monoxide of carbon.

As the department of firemen of Saint Lucie detailed, the couple left an energy generator in the garage during the storm. Their neighbors found them both unconscious inside their house. Their state is critical.
