Quito_ The foreign ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC by its Spanish initials) are meeting today in Ecuador to discuss the agenda for tomorrow's summit, and the statements they will submit for the consideration of the rulers, Radio Reloj publishes

Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño will open the meeting where the summit’s political declaration will be negotiated, as well as the action plan of the year and some special documents proposed by several countries

The head of the Ecuadorian diplomacy also explained they will be analyzing the electoral crisis in Haiti and the current peace process between the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia and the government of President Juan Manuel Santos.

The deputy foreign minister of Cuba, Abelardo Moreno, considered, meanwhile, that the appointment of Ecuador should contribute to strengthen the regional bloc and among his special statements there is a call on the US to lift the unilateral embargo imposed on Cuba for more than five decades, and to return the territory of the Guantanamo Naval Base to the Cuban State.
