Panamá_ Former president of Uruguay José Mujica assured that the abstention in Colombia prevents to know the popular criteria on the Peace Agreements, Prensa Latina publishes.

“In fact it is unknown how people think, because the 62 percent of the population didn't vote”, he expressed while assuring to be hopeful with a pact that will bring harmony to the country.

"Because the wars end in two forms: in a military way, where one of the litigants is imposed, or by a negotiation of political character. “There is no other way", he sentenced.

Answering a question about Panama, the veteran politician advised: “Don't forget the social differences and assist your poor people. Fight for a more equal distribution."

It can be a great country, because it has everything to be great, it only needs to fight against the short term selfishness", he said.

He highlighted the profitable of the Inter Oceanic Channel and of the International Airport of Tocumen, managed smartly, starting from the privileged corner, in reference to the geographical position of the Isthmus.

To a question on the situation of the Venezuelan people, Mujica remembered that a century ago that country raises its oil economy and created an enormous dependence of that rent, abandoning many internal sources of food production.

The fall of the fuels’ price is for the interviewee the cause of the economic current situation, while in the political aspect he thinks that the internal contradictions will only be solved with the negotiation between Government and opposition, to find an exit among them.

According to Mujica the solution is not in foreign forces, and put the example of Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and Libya, that after strange invasions, are now in worse situation, as well as it happens in the Balkans, where they broke into pieces the old Yugoslavia.
