Paris_ France's Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve reported today the arrest of several Islamists in the cities of Marseille and Strasbourg, who planned terrorist attacks in the country, the website of Radio Habana Cuba reports.

According to the information the detainees are seven people from Morocco and Afghanistan who "had connections with terrorist groups".

"We have succeeded in preventing further terrorist attacks," Cazeneuve said.

The politician added that so far this year 418 people suspected of terrorist activities have been arrested in France.
