Moscow_ Russian President Vladimir Putin announced an agreement between the Syrian government and the opposition to cease the hostilities in that country and about the future peace talks, Radio Havana Cuba reports.

The dignitary said that the progress in Syria is the result of the efforts of Russia, Turkey and Iran, their allies in the region.

Putin also noted that the parties will take steps to ensure that the agreements are respected in the context of the fight against terrorism in Syrian territory.

“Three documents were signed, the first deals with the suspension of fighting nationwide and the second deals with the measures that will be taken to ensure this takes place; the third covers the process of initiating the political process for negotiating a peace deal, Putin said in a meeting with his country's foreign and defense ministers.
