Moscow_ Russia's response to the new sanctions of the United States will be symmetrical, warned the Kremlin when knowing the restrictions directed towards people close to the military intelligence, Radio Reloj publishes.

The answer will be determined by the head of state, said presidential spokesman Dmitri Peskov, after knowing Washington's intention to impose a new package of sanctions, under the pretext of an alleged cyber-attack.

US President Barack Obama said at the time that Moscow interfered with alleged cyber-attacks in the US electoral system, which influenced the results of the presidential election.

Putin said last Friday that the Obama administration is seeking to divert attention from irregularities within the Democratic Party, denounced in Internet-filtered information, to remove liberal presidential candidate Bernie Sanders from the presidential race.
