Florida__ A shooting that occurred in the baggage area at Florida's Fort Lauderdale airport has so far killed five people and injured nine others, according to the Cuban News Agency.

Police spokesmen explained that the gunman, identified as Esteban Santiago, 26, was arrested and he is in custody.

Several areas of the Floridian airport were evacuated, mainly the zone number two, where the events happened.

US President-elect Donald Trump expressed through his account on Twitter's social network, that he monitored the terrible situation in Florida.

"I just talked to Governor (Rick) Scott, my thoughts and prayers for everyone, be safe!" the New York billionaire said.
