Mexico_ More than 40 tons of marihuana and poppy flowers were destroyed by members of the Army, the Federal and State Police in two towns of Nayarit, México, Prensa Latina reports.
“Two illegal plantations of marihuana and one of opium poppy flower were discovered by the Agency of Criminal Investigation, which requested military help for their destruction, the Attorney General Office informed.
In the meantime, there is debate promoted by the government on the consumption of Marihuana, after a judicial decision that allows several citizens to produce and consume it for personal aims.
Authorities prepared debate forums in some regions of the country to present later on the official stance before the Congress.
