London__ The Islamic State claimed the responsibility for the bombing in London, according to a statement in the agency AMAQ, controlled by the jihadist group, Radio Habana Cuba publishes.

"A soldier of that entity carried out the aggression, in response to the call on the citizens of the coalition states to attack," the agency said.

British Prime Minister Theresa May stated before the Parliament that the perpetrator of the London bombing, shot dead by the police, was a terrorist of British nationality.

The MI5 had investigated the attacker some years ago as a peripheral figure, in surveys related to violent extremism, but he was not currently on the radar of the intelligence services.

According to the prime minister the level of terrorist threat on the country is severe, which is equivalent to a high probability of attacks.
