Caracas_ Venezuela will celebrate today the National Independence Day with a civic-military parade that will ratify the consolidated union of the people with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Prensa Latina reports.

The march, on the occasion of the 206 anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, will take place on Paseo Los Próceres, in this capital, and will count on the participation of all components of the FANB, representatives of the groups, social movements and the Popular Power.

In his account in the social network Twitter, President Nicolás Maduro Moros described as excellent the operative and mobilization capacity that the FANB will show on Wednesday in the Paseo de Los Próceres and praised the union that characterize these forces and the people.

He also said that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces is advancing in its modernization process to defend the sovereignty and integrity of the country, the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez, which is threatened by an attempted coup d'etat of the international and national rightwing to take control of the Venezuelan oil.

On July 5, 1811, Venezuela became the first nation to emancipate from the Spanish colony, with the Signature of the Venezuelan Independence Act, the Ministry for Information and Communication recalled in a note.

That document, after sitting the National Congress and with an absolute majority, was drafted by Juan German and Francisco Isnardi under the principles of self-determination of the people.

The provinces of Barinas, Barcelona, Cumaná, Margarita, Mérida and Trujillo, existing at that time, joined the cause of Caracas to ignore any monarchical figure.

Meanwhile, Maracaibo, Guayana and Coro did not participate in that Congress, but they were added later to the independence struggle undertaken by the Liberator Simón Bolívar next to its patriotic forces.
