Caracas_ The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, assured that in order to protect the stability of the country against a possible coup, it is necessary to strengthen the patriotic and libertarian values promoted by Simón Bolívar, Prensa Latina reports.

Cabello made this call during his program Con el mazo dando, transmitted last night by the Venezuelan Television channel from the headquarters of Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) in the eastern Monagas state.

The high government leader insisted that in order to face the coup plans pursued by the opposition's ultra-right, it is necessary to assume the defense of the country with Bolivarian ideals.

He emphasized that only in this way will be faced the attempts of oligarchic sectors to give the natural and strategic resources of the nation to the imperial axes.

"We arrived here," said Cabello, "to make a true Revolution and to bring to this people the greatest amount of happiness possible."

In that sense, he rejected the violent agenda that they intend to impose in the country, with the activation of vandal groups that cause the death of people and the destruction of public and private assets.

The socialist leader reaffirmed the commitment of the Venezuelan people to consolidate peace, especially before the Constituent process as a space for dialogue. 'What will be here is country, revolution, peace and future for Venezuela,' Cabello emphasized.

In turn, he invited the citizens to participate in the national simulation to be held on July 16, two weeks before the elections to elect members of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), and said that 'we must overcome and we have to convince. Our proposal is simple, it is peace '.

He also repudiated the meddling statements of US senator of Cuban origin, Marco Rubio, "who insists in interfering in the internal affairs of Venezuela."

Rubio threatened Venezuela with new sanctions from the United States, if the National Constituent Assembly manages to establish itself after the elections agreed for July 30.

'Do you think you are going to scare us?' He said, referring to the American congressman. 'Neither you, nor a thousand like you, frighten us. We are free and sovereign. It is not the imperialism that will come to threaten us”, the Bolivarian leader emphasized.
