Mexico_ The Mexican company Vinícola Regional de Ensenada was awarded the Gold Medal in the International Wine Competition 2017, held in New York, Prensa Latina reports.

This distinction recognizes the quality of the country's vineyards, the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food, José Calzada said.

The Aztec nation has 32 thousand hectares of vineyards to produce various varieties of grapes destined to the production of red, white, rosé and sparkling wines.

The states of Baja California, Coahuila, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato and Querétaro stand out as the main drink manufacturers nationwide.
