Hanoi_ Vietnam and Cambodia are working to expedite their border crossing to facilitate the common goal of boosting trade to five billion dollars, Prensa Latina reports.

The respective governments follow policies to stimulate cross-border trade and investment, for the sake of which they simplify administrative processes for import, export, quarantine and reinforce the fight against trafficking.

Customs sources said that the two nations of the Indochina peninsula agreed to activate the system one window, one stop, at the international airports of Moc Bai in Vietnam and Ba Vet in Cambodia.

Besides, the two parties agreed on the importance of efficiently fulfilling the investment promotion and protection agreement and signing a treaty to avoid double taxation as soon as possible.

Both nations share membership in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and cooperate closely in economy, health, telecommunications and culture, which contribute to maintaining peace, stability and friendship at the border lines.
