Caracas_ Venezuela is installing the National Constituent Assembly (ANC) this Wednesday as a space for popular debate to define actions against the main problems affecting Venezuelans, according to Prensa Latina.

The staff of the 545 members of the ANC was completed the day before with the election of eight representatives of the Venezuelan aboriginal community, in elections characterized by the customs of organization and consensus of the indigenous peoples of Venezuela.

This democratic exercise took place simultaneously in the three regions of the country where the indigenous peoples live; The western region, which groups the states of Zulia, Merida and Trujillo; the East with the states of Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Delta Amacuro, Monagas and Sucre; and the South, which groups the states of Amazonas and Apure, according to the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).

The president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, confirmed that the elections had a large participation of indigenous delegates.

Last Sunday, more than eight million Venezuelans had voted for 537 assembly members on a day that was noted for popular civility and calm in the process, despite the opposition right that exhausted all its arsenal of violence and threats to prevent the elections.

In relation to the work of the ANC, President Nicolás Maduro recently advanced governmental proposals, among which highlights a new rule with severe sanctions to apply justice against those responsible for violent acts promoted by the opposition rightwing in the last 100 days .

The president also detailed that with this objective there will be a restructuring of the justice system in order to ensure citizen security.

Maduro referred, in that sense, to the Commission of truth and peace that will serve in the heart of the Constituent Assembly, in order to achieve reconciliation among Venezuelans.

Likewise, he ratified that the ANC will strengthen the social mechanisms of food distribution, will enable the creation of a new productive model to face the economic war.

The head of state suggested to include the law of the first employment, aimed at young people, which guarantees the right to study, culture, sport, a decent home and a prosperous future.
