Quito_ The Union of South American Nations (Unasur) rejected the decision of the United States to postpone another year the term of an executive decree that consider Venezuela as an unusual and extraordinary threaten against its security, as it interferes in the sovereignty of that southern country.

Unasur’s General Offcie, in Quito, said in an official statement its refusal the decision of extending the validity of that decree, approved on March, last year and remembered that this position has been already expressed at that moment by the Chancellors Council of the Union.

Unasur underlined that the decree of Washington’s government is interference threaten to the sovereignty and the principle of not intervention in the internal affairs of other states.

The note added that Unasur reiterates the call for the institutional dialogue in Venezuela that allows its people to reconcile and overcome their differences without any kind of foreign intervention.

President Obama renewed last Thursday the executive order that authorize the Treasure Department to impose sanctions against those determined to have carried out policies or actions that undermine process or democratic institutions or violates the human rights in riots in Venezuela.

Foreign minister, Delcy Rodríguez considers an aggression the fact that the United States President had extended the decree and stated that Venezuela will go to the international instances.
