Nicaragua_ The vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, confirmed on Tuesday that in the recently concluded municipal elections the popular will was respected, after thanking the foreign experts and technicians who accompanied the civic day, according to the Radio Reloj website.
"We want to acknowledge and thank the presence of the accompaniment mission of the Organization of American States (OAS), led by Wilfredo Penco, who acknowledged in a report that the popular will is respected in the country," Murillo said.
On the other hand, the Government condemned on Tuesday in an emphatic way the isolated acts of violence that took place in the country around the elections, in spite of the constant calls for concord on the part of the authorities.
This country held municipal elections last Sunday, in which the alliance led by the Sandinista National Liberation Front won a resounding victory.
