The Venezuelan president asked that the proposals of the sector to be taken by the National Constituent Assembly "to turn all this force into a constitutional law of Productive Workers Councils", because "there will be real, true economic development, led by those who will assume the reins of our present and future.”
The Head of State asked the Workers Productive Committees (CPT) to guarantee, through the 0800 Health system, the distribution of medicines to the population.
"I ask the CPT, the 0800 Health must be the axis of a new modern system, highly technological at the service of medicines, to the access of all the public that needs them, articulated with FarmaPatria, private pharmacies and Barrio Adentro", the president said.
He also criticized his Colombian counterpart, Juan Manuel Santos, for prohibiting the purchase of medicines. "Let's trust the 0800 Health, to combat speculation and economic war," he said.
He announced the creation of a special plan for the stimulation of sugar production, through socialist companies that will be in the hands of the popular power.
