Catalonia_ With the first rallies and several independentist leaders imprisoned, the political parties of Catalonia began the campaing fot the crucial elections of December 21st , in that northeastern region Spain, Radio Reloj publishes. 

The main forces in favor and against the secession of that autonomous community of 7.5 million inhabitants carried out their launching activities of the electoral race in Barcelona and other cities of the region.

Convened by the government of Mariano Rajoy, the elections will put to the test the true separatist longings of their old authorities, ceased after consummating in October a unilateral declaration of independence.

This appointment with the polls is seen as a kind of plebiscite between those who favor the split of the territory and citizens who bet on their stay in Spain.
