Cairo_ The Egypt Minister of Antiques, Mamduh El Damati, announced today the high probability of the existence of two ssecret chambers behind the walls of Tutankhamun’s Tomb in the King’s Valley, Prensa Latina reports.

“The specialties of the ministry estimates in a 90 percent the real possibilities of the existence of empty spaces behind two walls of the mortuary chamber of the Child Pharaoh”, El Damati said.

According to the minister, the results achieved through a radar exploration carried out by the end 2015 by Japanese expert Hirokatsu Watanabe are not conclusive, so additional analysis will be done by the end of this month.

According to the images processed by Watanabe, an empty space of about 1.5 meters wide and 2 meters depth was found behind the northern wall of the mortuary chamber of Tutankhamun.

The investigations in the tomb began with the purpose of proving the theory of the British Egyptology, Nicholas Reeves and estimates that the chamber was created from the original tomb of Queen Nefertiti.

The extremely reduced size of Tutankhamun’s tomb is imputed to the urgency in its construction due to the unexpected death of the young pharaoh.

The specialists explained that the possible chambers now identified will be only sailed rooms with remains of the constructive works carried out in their interiors.
