Beijing_ China affirmed that the promotion of peace, development and world order are priorities of its foreign policy, in response to the decision by the United States to consider Beijing a rival that threatens its interests, Prensa Latina reports.

The Chinese Government pointed out that these elements are also common aspirations throughout the planet and any attempts to overcome national issues will only lead to isolation.

'The essence of China's development is citizens' welfare, socio-economic revitalization, global peace and prosperity,' the Government stated.

It considered contradictory the United States' commitment to label China as an adversary and at the same time talk about establishing bilateral associations.

Finally, it urged Washington to abandon the archaic mentality of benefiting from others and to work together to advance toward the common goal of achieving prosperity and progress for all.

According to the president, the objective is to recover the leadership of the United States and give priority to each action or decision.

Among other issues, he called China and Russia rival powers that seek to challenge the values, influence and wealth of his country, but at the same time, he expressed willingness to establish alliances with these nations.
