Beijing_Â China will work along with other countries in 2018 to consolidate peace and establish new models of cooperation and world governance that will generate socio-economic progress everywhere, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, Prensa Latina publishes.
According to the head of Chinese diplomacy, next year, the country will host the meetings of the Boao Forum for Asia and of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the summit of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum and the International Imports Exhibition.
Wang noted that China will work hard to guarantee the successful holding of those events, which he described as the path to open new chapters in mutually beneficial relations with other States.
Beijing’s Government will take advantage of those and all platforms possible to insist on more international responsibility and seek peaceful solutions to problems like the crisis on the Korean Peninsula and the conflict in Afghanistan, he indicated.
China will try to create a stable and balanced framework to promote strategic relations with the United States, Russia and the European Union, while it will strengthen friendship and will improve the alliances with developing countries in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
The foreign minister noted that China will speed up the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, will promote joint collaboration to fight climate change and terrorism, and will participate in the design of regulations to use the Internet and outer space.
2018's plans include the implementation of the agreements signed during the Forum of the Belt and Route Project for International Cooperation, held in May, as well as the creation of mechanisms to follow up on shared profits and increase them.
'We will also focus on building infrastructure and increasing the production capacity through collaboration, continuing to develop new economic corridors and comprehensively expanding the Belt and Route Project,' Wang told the TV station CGTN.
China will promote its stance of establishing a shared-future community for humankind, will defend multilateralism and will strongly oppose protectionism.
