Kabul_ The terrorist organization Islamic State (IS) claimed today the attack against a Shiite cultural center in this capital of Afghanistan, leaving over 40 people dead and 30 wounded, mostly civilians, the digital site of Prensa Latina reports.
According to local authorities, the extremist group confirmed its responsibility through its digital portal Amaq.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior of Afghanistan, Najibullah Danish, informed a team was created to investigate the incident.
The explosion occurred at 10:30 local time when many persons participated in an activity at the center Tebyan, that also is venue to the news chain AVA.
Last October, 39 persons died and 45 were wounded in Kabul, in a similar attack against the Shiite minority, reivindicated also by the IS.
