Havana_ EGREM's director general, Mario Escalona, sent the American president Barack Obama, a copy of the album "La Fantasia," after agreements signed in September between the Cuban record label and Sony Music Entertainment.
Sarah Seck, president's assistant, received the album with a promise to deliver it to Obama, who attended a U.S.-Cuba business forum during his recent visit to the country. Approximately 200 businessmen and entrepreneurs of the two countries were involved in the forum.
The CD "La Fantasia" includes the last recordings by Juan Formell, one of the great figures of popular Cuban music.
"The album is a symbol of the new stage in the relationships between the two countries, particularly in music, EGREM said in a press release.
