Havana_ The Minister of Agriculture, Gustavo Rodríguez Rollero, inaugurated today the XXI FIAGROP International Agribusiness and Food Fair at the Rancho Boyeros fairground, in this capital, Radio Reloj publishes.
In his speech, the minister said that the event, which takes place amid the complexities of the Cuban economy, affected by the resurgence of the blockade and the serious consequences of climatic phenomena, is superior to previous editions because of its organization and participation of exhibitors.
Rodriguez stressed that this Fair will be a space to promote the portfolio of foreign investment opportunities in the sector, raise the livestock and agri-food culture and promote the rodeo as a sport for farmers.
The event involves all the provinces of the country and 21 foreign exhibiting companies and has among its purposes to carry out scientific and economic exchanges on topics such as the development of technology, machinery and supplies for the food industry.
The leader said that the appointment will serve as a context for the realization of 61 clinical conferences, given by prestigious national and foreign specialists.
