Havana_ The III International Seminar on Agricultural Health and the XX Latin American Phytopathology Congress will be held from May 6 to 10, 2019 at the Hotel Marina Varadero in Matanzas, with the purpose of contributing to the preservation and elevation of animal, plant and human health, the Cuban News Agency publishes.
Evelyn Lobo Rivero, president of the Organizing Committee, explained that the event will be a great opportunity for researchers, professors, students, entrepreneurs and producers from various countries to exchange.
The expert pointed out that delegates will be able to reflect on the diagnosis and monitoring of pests and diseases, food safety and food safety, risk reduction and disaster management in the agricultural sector, and the impact and mitigation of climate change.
During the meeting, she said, there will also be meetings, symposium workshops, panels, lectures, round tables and technical visits to farms of outstanding peasants of the territory.
The meeting is sponsored by the National Center for Agricultural Health (CENSA), an entity of Science and Technological Innovation of the Ministry of Higher Education, which next year will celebrate five decades of scientific and technical achievements.
