Havana_ The Cuban capital will host the coming July 15-17 the XXIV Annual Meeting of the Sao Paulo Forum, a space where left-wing parties and progressive movements of the region will meet, convened by the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Radio Havana Cuba reports.
José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, head of the International Relations Department of the PCC, affirmed that the meeting constitutes an internationalist political commitment for our country.
In a letter sent to the members of the Sao Paulo Forum, the senior official assured that it is time to unite ideas and efforts to stop, as soon as possible, the current counterrevolutionary offensive of the international right and in the area.
"We are convinced that it is the right time to defend the important achievements treasured by the left and the progressive forces of the region during the last 20 years," Balaguer Cabrera said.
He said in the letter that the meeting will evaluate how to transform the setbacks that have occurred in recent years, to win the next battles that the region will have.
