Santiago de Cuba_ The First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, is presiding  today in the municipality of the Second Front the provincial celebration of the 65th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada Garrison. Â
According to information published on the website of Radio Habana Cuba, Raúl is accompanied in the Central Plaza of Mayarà Arriba by other leaders and political and governmental authorities and a representation of the people.
Second Front has been deserving of the provincial headquarters for the anniversary for its political, economic and social results and celebrates such achievements with the pride of its inhabitants.
Dozens of social works, both in the municipal seat and in the 9 People's Councils of the territory, such as a Children's day care center, more than a hundred houses for the most needy, a pastry, an Ice Cream Factory, a chain of stores and a hotel of first class, are among the motivations of the mountain people here on the occasion of this new anniversary of the National Rebellion Day.
They also incorporate a sandpaper factory, the refurbishment of the canning factory, the hospital "Emilio Bárcenas Pier", streets, towns and schools that make this mountainous territory of the Turquino Plan an incomparable place, thanks to the epic headed that morning of the Santa Ana by the Centennial generation led by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
Tomorrow, in the polygon of the former military fortress assaulted by Fidel Castro and young revolutionaries on July 26, 1953, from which the definitive stage of the struggles for liberation in Cuba began, the central commemorative act of that heroic deed will be celebrated.
