Havana_ The small town of Birán, where the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016) was born 92 years ago, hosted today a popular consultation on the draft of the new Constitution of the Island, Prensa Latina reports.

The workers from the historic site located in the eastern province of Holguín and professionals from the culture sector participated in the meeting to issue proposals and criteria on the text approved on July 22 by the National Assembly of People's Power.

More than 50 people were in the consultation, as well as Holguin authorities and the National Assembly deputy Yusuam Palacios, who is the president of the Martiano Youth Movement.

His hometown also hosted homage activities, in which young people and citizens remembered the legacy of the historical leader of the Revolution.
