Havana, Cuba_The most important meeting of Internet in America Latina and the Caribbean, LACNIC 25, will take place in Cub a from May 2nd to 6th with the participation of about 450 professionals and specialists of the Information Technologies (TICs), Radio Reloj publishes.

Elisa Alfaro, specialist from the Cuban Telecommunication Enterprise S.A. ETECSA, stated that the event will be held at the Convention Palace in Havana and will focus its sessions in debates and forums about the cyber security.

The meeting coincides with the efforts made to give more connection to the countries of the region, especially those placed in the Caribbean area, she said.

“As part of the meeting it will be held the Peering Forum, space that offers the opportunity of talking and negotiating peering and transfer agreements with the most relevant Internet Service Providers of the region, the specialist added.
