Havana, Cuba_ In another attempt to attract foreign capital, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba organizes the Third Investment Forum, which will be held on October 30 and 31, Radio Reloj publishes.

The announcement was made at a press conference by the Director General of Foreign Investment of that ministry, Déborah Rivas, who explained that there is a more favorable context based on the rules issued in August, which simplify the processing of proposals from foreign companies.

The Business Forum is part of the agenda of the XXXVI International Fair of Havana, in which the Portfolio of Opportunities for Foreign Investment 2018-2019 will be presented.

That portfolio, said the official, has a more diverse volume of projects, including those related to the Mariel Special Development Zone, which will make a special presentation at the Fair.

Learning from others

As part of the forthcoming III Investment Forum program that will be held during the International Fair of Havana, the Foreign Investment Agency of Vietnam will present its experiences from the perspective of several entrepreneurs of that country.

This will be an opportunity for the national business community to develop a group of skills on techniques and procedures for the realization of projects with foreign capital under negotiation.

About the Special Development Zone of Mariel, the director of the Ventanilla Única, Wendy Miranda, affirmed that the tendency to establish businesses in
this important economic enclave has been stable and growing.

Miranda explained that currently the Zone has 37 businesses with companies from 17 countries, which means a total amount of investment that exceeds 2 thousand 250 million dollars.
