Santa Clara, Cuba_ Members of the Public Health sector in Villa Clara, will pay tribute to Dr. Erick Omar Perez de Alejo, one of the three doctors who died in Ecuador, victim of the earthquake, Radio Reloj publishes.

Family and colleagues will be present at the funeral ceremony in the Palacio de de Ajedrez in Santa Clara, including Yoel Orozco, who work with the Cuban collaborator in Barrio Adentro mission in Venezuela.

Orozco lamented the sensible loss of the physician and highlighted his human qualities and spirit of solidarity that allowed the eternal gratitude of his patients in Cuba and abroad.

For his part, Dr. Pedro Ruiz, deputy director of Health in Santa Clara, who was a classmate of Erick Omar Perez de Alejo, emphasizes his example as an internationalist collaborator.

Mourning in Santa Isabel de las Lajas

The residents of Santa Isabel de las Lajas, Cienfuegos, waits in mourning for the remains of Dr. Barbara Cruz Ruiz, one of the three Cuban victims of the earthquake in Ecuador.

The funeral of the specialist in General Medicine and Internal Medicine, native of that locality and loved by the people, will be at the Liceo of Santa Isabel de las Lajas.

Family members and residents of the municipality are living moments of sadness at the death of the professional, who also lost her husband, Dr. Leonardo Ortiz Estrada, that is going to be buried in the city of Manzanillo.

Relatives of the deceased and Health authorities in the provinces of Cienfuegos and Villa Clara paid posthumous tribute to Ortiz, at kilometer 232 of the National Highway during his transfer to his hometown.
