Havana_ The president of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse, begins today an official visit to Cuba that includes talks with authorities of the Caribbean island, Prensa Latina reports.

According to the program published here, the head of state will pay tribute to the National Hero José Martí in the Revolution Square.

Moïse announced last August his intention to travel to the Cuban nation and visit the young people of his country, who are studying in the largest of the Antilles.

On that occasion, the president thanked Cuba for its cooperation in expressing: Cuban cooperation, if it is not the best, is one of the best (...), the Island has helped Haiti in all sense.

Besides the help related with Medicine, Havana and Port-au-Prince have developed bilateral programs in areas such as agriculture, fisheries, education, water resources, construction and meteorology.
