Havana_ The first vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Salvador Valdés Mesa, stressed in the eastern province of Holguín the importance of raising production levels in agricultural lines to contribute to the progressive self-supply and the substitution of imports, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

Valdés Mesa highlighted aspects such as the hiring of harvests based on the needs and demands of the people, as well as the punctuality of payments to producers for the contributions of each of the agreed food items.

The first Cuban vice president also referred to the importance of reaching grassroots structures to understand the concerns of workers and the process of industrialization of agriculture in order to achieve greater performance in each of the productive fronts, as much of the state sector as of the peasant and the cooperative.
