Havana, Cuba_ One of the programs prioritized by the Government Support Group for Havana during 2018 was the public transport, according to the Vice President of the Board of Administration, Osmín Abel Camejo, Radio Reloj publishes.

He explained that in spite of the economic difficulties that the country presents, spare parts were acquired to put into operation more than 100 buses, which allowed sustainability in transportation in the last months of the year.

He added that as a complement, 23 new taxi services en route were created, and the three existing cooperatives were strengthened with the entry of Russian technology minibuses, which although insufficient, move more than 90 thousand passengers per day.

Osmín Camejo added that an asphalt concrete plant and two specialized trucks for the conservation of the roads were also purchased as transportation insurance in Havana.
