Havana_ Cuba participates in the meeting of the Steering Committee for that Sustainable Development Objective, carried out in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) aimed at promoting education in the world, Radio Reloj publishes.

Stefania Giannini, deputy general director of the entity for the sector, highlighted the role played by the Committee to discuss the challenges linked to an inclusive, equitable and quality education.

The participation of Cuba in its status as an observer is a new sign of the permanent commitment of the Island's government to education, considered the priority of the priorities to achieve sustainable development.

Among the initiatives, stands out the Cuban method of literacy "I can do it", and its continuation in "I can follow", through which several countries of the region have declared themselves free of illiteracy.
