Havana, Cuba_ Floral wreaths from the leader of the Cuban Revolution and Army General Raul Castro were laid this Thursday to homage the National Hero José Martà at the Santa Ifigenia cemetery in the eastern city of Santiago de Cuba.
Wreaths were also laid on behalf of the Councils of State and Ministers and the people of Cuba on the occasion of the 121 anniversary of the fall in combat of the of the Apostle of the independence.
The traditional changing of guard ceremony was performed by students of the Camilo Cienfuegos Military School of Artemisa and cadets from the Medical Science University of the Revolutionary Armed Forces were attended by authorities of the Communist Party of Cuba and the government in the province.
The central words of the act were pronounced by Beatriz Jhonson, member if the Central Committee of the PCC and vice president of the provincial government.
