Havana, Cuba: A Resolve of the Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella, announced in the Official Gazette of the Republic, sets September 2 as the start date of the next school year in Cuba, Radio Reloj publishes.

The resolve organizes the work schedule for all the general education teachings in the country and details the main educational activities in the course and events of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM).

A total of 46 weeks are set for the development of the upcoming school term, between September 2 and July 18, 2020, including 2 periods of school recess.

These recesses will be made in homage and greeting to the Triumph of the Revolution, from December 25 of this year until January 4, 2020; and Victoria de Girón, from April 13 to 18.
