Sancti SpÃritus, Cuba: More than a hundred houses in the municipality of Yaguajay, in Sancti SpÃritus, will benefit from the installation of photovoltaic solar modules, through a project funded by the United Nations Development Program, Radio Reloj publishes.
The Investment Director of the Provincial Electric Company, Raydel DÃaz, said that the kit, with a capacity of 1,500 watts, will allow families to install equipment for domestic use, besides lighting their homes.
The United Nations Development Program project seeks to help settlements affected by the devastating hurricane Irma, in 2017, and improve their adaptation to climate change, DÃaz said.
Yaguajay is in the phase of preparation of the houses, the training of those who will operate with that renewable energy system and deciding where to place the panels in each home.
