Ciego de Ávila, Cuba: The entry into operation of a mechanized center in the Ciegoplast company, in Ciego de Ávila, a pioneer in the country in developing high density polyethylene ducts, will minimize the importation of the elements used in the conductors of water of large diameters, Radio Reloj publishes.

The center, the only one of its kind in Cuba and fully automated, is undergoing testing and commissioning to start continuous production of flanges, in addition to the so-called reduced ones.

Gerardo Rodríguez Sáez, Ciegoplast Production Director, said they are currently resetting parameters and computerized technology programs, train staff and verify other equipment and aggregates.

Likewise, the productions of that company contribute to the State's plan for confronting climate change, and have correspondingly designed floating barriers.
