Havana, Cuba_ The First Disabled Women Leaders Regional Seminar-Workshop with representatives from Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean will conclude today in Havana, after three intense days for the promotion of actions against the discrimination, Granma newspaper publishes.

According to the organizing committee, more than a hundred of delegates coming from 12 Latin American countries are participating in the event under the slogan For an Inclusive Region.

The declaration of Latin American Network of Non-Governmental Organizations of Persons with Disabilities and their Families will be presented during this last day.

It also will propitiate the debate of the experiences of women and men with special needs from different rural and indigenous communities.

The report Cuban Women and intellectual disabilities, by Mayelín Olive Rodríguez, and the Conference about Sexuality by the doctor José Julián Castillo, will contribute ideas for the undertaking of effective strategies.

The regional event helps, also, to impel new mechanisms in the fight for a solidary, fair and inclusive Latin America, its participants affirmed.
