Havana, Cuba: The National Assembly of Popular Power (legislative) was called to an extraordinary session to elect the President and Vice President of the Republic of Cuba, according to Prensa Latina.

The extraordinary session of the Assembly will take place at Havana`s Convention center on October 10, in accordance with the call issued by the State Council under the current constitution.

The deputies must elect on that occasion the President, Vice President and the Secretary of the National Assembly of People's Power, as well as the other members of the State Council and, also, the President and Vice President of the Republic, the call says.
