Havana, Cuba_ The National Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC) are discussing today about the presence and participation of the Cuban youth in the cultural policy of the Revolution and how much it need their support and contribution during its third plenum at Lazaro Peña Convention Center, Radio Havana Cuba publishes.

Joan Cabo Mijares, member of the National Bureau of the UJC, said that the collective reflection prioritize the Hermanos Saiz Association and the Brigade of Art Instructors José Martí.

The attendants to the meeting will assess youth participation in Cuban political and cultural life, the importance of defending values, national identity and cubanía in order to guarantee the continuation of the Revolution. Progress made in the fulfillment of the agreements ratified during the 10th UJC Congress, held last year, will also be reviewed.

This Friday, the agenda of the Third Plenum includes the presentation of the campaign for the 55th anniversary of the UJC to be celebrated in 2017.

Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, on his 90th birthday, dedicated members of the National Committee this regular session, the third since his election in the X Congress of the UJC. They also will honor Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara, close and on June 14, birth date of these two essential history.

The members of the National Committee dedicate this ordinary meeting as a tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on his 90th birthday and they will also homage Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara, close to the natal date of those important personalities.
