Both ministers held a meeting recently during the celebration of the ministerial week of the General Assembly of the United Nations, in which the head of the Spanish diplomacy made patent the opposite position of his country to the activation by the United States of title III of the Helms-Burton law.

According to a note, the headlines also analyzed issues of bilateral, regional and multilateral interest.

As of November 1, Borrell will begin to serve as senior representative of the EU's Foreign Policy and Security, after being approved for that position by the European Chamber, on October 8.
