Cuba: The International Symposium “Social Emancipation against Domination in the Caribbean Latin American Context” will be held in Havana from October 22 to 25, convened by the Center for Psychological and Sociological Research of Cuba, Prensa Latina reports.

Academics, researchers, social movement activists, students, public officials and representatives of social institutions participating in the event will discuss aspects related to public policies, social equality and labor relations.

The participants will also value the diversity of entities, ethnic groups, genders, citizenship training, the environment, sustainable development, anti-hegemonic strategies and emancipatory thinking.

Simultaneous events on childhood and youth in Latin America and the Caribbean, social studies of work, international seminar of black feminisms, in addition to the meeting about the social solidarity economy, will take place parallel to the event.
