Havana: On October 18, the Government of the United States (USA) unveiled new unilateral coercive economic measures against the Caribbean nation, whose implementation affects the Civil Aviation sector of Cuba, in particular the company Cubana de Aviación, Cubadebate publishes.
The measures are strong evidence of the upsurge and aggressiveness of the commercial and financial economic blockade, sustained for almost 60 years against the country and bring, as a consequence, the sharpening of the economic damages, as well as the breach of the commercial agreements contracted, which It causes dissatisfaction in our passengers with the consequent impact on the image of Cuban companies.
Leasing companies from third countries notified their cessation of lease agreements already signed with Cuba. This measure led to the suspension of flights to destinations in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Haiti, Martinique and the French West Indies, the official recalled.
This impact is also reflected in national transportation. Cuban Aviation will proceed to readjust the national routes, which they will inform in a timely manner.
Passengers affected by the cancellation of flights will be reimbursed the total value of the ticket at the commercial offices.
