Havana, Cuba_ In occasion of the commemoration of Antonio Maceo and Ernesto Guevara's birthdays, the National Association of Economists and Accountants from Cuba (ANEC by its Spanish initials) gave the title of Members of Honor of the organization to The Five antiterrorist fighters, Cubadebate publishes.
In an act held at José Martà Memorial, Ramón Labañino and Fernando González received the corresponding diploma, on behalf of their partners, from the hands of Oscar Luis Hung, president of ANEC.
Labañino who recently assumed the vice-presidency of Professional Activities, also headed the group of 10 new associates that signed the Code of Ethics in representation of who for this date, in the whole country, joined the about 80 thousand members of that social institution.
In presence of Gladys Bejerano, vice-president of the Council of State and General Controller of the Republic, and René Hernández, vice minister of Economy and Planning, among others, the antiterrorist fighter gave a picture of Che Guevara on horse, to be placed in the entrance of the headquarters of ANEC.
“It is a high honor and privilege for The Five to receive the mentioned title", he said and reaffirmed that the first duty of all economist is to be revolutionary and find out how much they can make in benefit of the people.
He expressed that as a revolutionary soldier of these times he will get the title of Member of Honor of the ANEC and wished this would be a special homage for the biggest economist, the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro to whose 90 birthday was also devoted the act.
