Cuba: The approval of six new activities and the unification or modification of others, stand out among the legal provisions for self-employment, published today in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba, as part of the improvement of this type of employment in the non-state sector.

Martha Elena Feitó Cabrera, First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security, explained at a press conference that the measures have as background the opinions of the self-employed workers and the population, and are based on documents such as Resolutions 103 and 104 of that branch.

At the same time, they simplify procedures, compact and perfect scopes, and order issues related to the commercialization of productions and services, in pursuit of the necessary chain of the different actors in the economy.
